Christmas times a comin'................Christmas times a comin'

Wow, unbelievable how time flies.  Here we are, only ten more days until Christmas.  And, before you know it, we'll be into 2012!

I want to thank all of you for your support this past year - it has meant a great deal to me.  Whether you have come out to a show, emailed me to congratulate me on an accomplishment, said hi on the street to say 'way to go' or follow me on Facebook or Twitter and always show your support by commenting on some of my status posts.   The music business is going through some huge challenges and as an artist, sometimes you want to just throw in the towel and say "I'm done".  But when I get the support that I have received from all of you - family, friends and fans, it encourages me to keep moving forward to pursue my music career - my dream career.

This year, my husband Jean, daughter Aleida and I have decided that instead of buying presents we want to help those who are not so fortunate.  Therefore, we are donating to two charities this Christmas.  The local food bank here in Duncan and to the Street Angels Program in Vancouver that helps out the homeless by going out on the streets to provide warm clothing and a hot meal.  This, to me, is the true meaning of Christmas - helping out my fellow man. It warms my heart knowing that my donation will be putting smiles on faces for those who have so little.

I hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas no matter who you are spending it with and I wish you all the best in the New Year.
