On Saturday, November 19th I had the opportunity to perform in the New Artist Showcase at the BC Country Music Association's Industry Awards held at the Red Robinson Show theatre in Coquitlam. I performed my song "I'm Not Lookin' Back" with a stellar line-up of musicians. It was such a thrill to be able to do this performance and I'm very thankful for the opportunity. I have taken a few months off from performing and have been focusing on songwriting. I have penned a few songs on my own and also with some new co-writers. The new songs are not complete but they are sounding good!
I was talking to a couple of my girl friends the other day and one said 'I'm going on a cruise in February". The other one said "I'm going to Vegas". And I said "I'm going to Saskatoon!" Yes, I will be heading to Saskatoon in January where I will be working with CCMA award winner Bart McKay in his studio to record a single. I'm very excited about the song that I will be recording and I look forward to sharing it here on the net and on radio.
