Well, I've just completed week number three of my challenge of Music Success in 9 weeks and I have to say, this week was easy for me compared to the first two weeks.
Week #1 - Getting Mentally Prepared
I had to write down my goals - for both business and personally. Goals for the year, five years, ten years and even my lifetime. Since I have been in this habit for quite a few years now, it was a task that I was used to. My daytimer is my guide and I have a bulletin board full of quotes and sayings that help me keep focused on my goals. I have also completed my Marketing Plan which is my guide and I set my goals in order to accomplish what I have set out to do in my plan.
Week #2- Your Perfect Pitch
This was a tough one because I had to come up with a couple sentences, preferably in 15 seconds or less, that told people what I'm all about. And, I decided to do a video blog about it. In case you missed it, you can watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2j7NMyj92g
Week #3 - Optimizing Your Website
This was easy for me because my website was already complete. Thanks to the talents of my husband Jean, he has created a website for me that provides all the information that is required for my fans and information for bookings. A few updates need to be added from what we have learned in the past few weeks - my pitch needs to be added to the front page of my website and I need to encourage fans to sign up for my fan email list be offering something like a free download. My wonderful husband has been very busy at his full time job and will be working on getting these few things updated in the next few weeks. Please check out my website: www.shelly-dubois.com
